Once long ago I heard Kraftwerk.. I saw an art film recently, "Radio On", the soundtrack of which was all Kraftwerk. I had to reinvestigate.

The Brown Recluse

There is a little coffee shop in Marfa called "The Brown Recluse". I haven't been inside yet, because its hardly ever open it seems. There is a good story behind it a local told me: Some years ago, there was an old widow who lived there and was killed by a brown recluse spider bite. The current owners had no knowledge of this when they purchased the property and chose their name.

I've been thinking a lot about this story..

I found this fellow at an Indian trading post very shortly before meeting up with George Smith. He is a kachina dancer, a badger to be specific. He gave me good vibes so I brought him onboard as my good spirit along my way.

George Smith really liked him as well. So, I thought that is what his name should be then.

George is a Navajo. I met George on my way through his nation's reservation on I-40 in Arizona. Somewhere halfway between Joseph City and Gallop, George had his thumb out on the side of the road.
